The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open directed by Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers and Kathleen Hepburn had its local premiere at SFiFF 2019 as part of SFiFF's transcendental indigenous program created by Gary Farmer. Shot on 16mm and presented in “real time,” this is a one-of-a-kind exploration.

Burning was short-listed for an Academy Award and was South Korea's official submission to the Academy in 2018.

The Long Dumb Road was 2018 SFiFF’s Opening Night Film. Shot entirely in New Mexico, the film stars stars Tony Revolori, Jason Mantzoukas, and Taissa Farmiga.

Hostiles starring Wes Studi and Christian Bale had its 2nd US screening at SFiFF in 2017. At the screening, George R. R. Martin presented Wes Studi with the SFiFF Visionary Award.
