Weather in Santa Fe
Fall Season
Though we may be biased, Fall is easily the most excellent season in Santa Fe! Temperatures in October are, on average, in the low 70’s to mid 60’s during the day and low 40’s to mid 30’s at night. It’s recommended to dress in layers and to be weary of sudden gusts, as well as the occasional rain storm.
Overview
At 7,000’ above sea level (approximately 2,000’ higher than Denver), Santa Fe is characterized by it’s stunning sunsets, unique landscapes, fresh air, and arid climate. While it is dry, Santa Fe is host to four fully-fledged seasons with sudden downpours in the summer and subtle snowfall in the winter. Going out of the city, you can find yourself on a desert plain, marked with awe-inspiring mesas and buttes, or in a bright mountaintop forest, alight with aspens and shaded by ponderosa pine. Come enjoy all this and more during this year’s festival!
Come Visit Year-Round!
While Summer and Fall are the most popular and busy seasons, Santa Fe has something to offer year-round! During Winter, our mountains bring in tourists nation-wide for our ski season. While in the Spring and Summer, the city is filled with blossoming and trees and flowers, a perfect setting for summer concerts on the Plaza and Railyard Park!
