In Kristin Goodman’s #UndertheInfluence, Cassidy Freeman and Alexandra Renzo Play Opposite Sisters
In director Kristin Goodman’s debut feature film, #UndertheInfluence, two polar-opposite sisters played by Cassidy Freeman and Alexandra Renzo untangle some of the baggage they’ve been carrying around for decades – while the world is watching.
The film is about erstwhile child stars, Brooke (Freeman) and Chelsea (Renzo), who get a lucrative opportunity to star in a Kardashians-style reality show. In doing so, they realize some truths about themselves, and each other. The film also stars Patrick Fabian and David Magidoff in strong supporting roles.
The film premiered Thursday at the Santa Fe International Film Festival. We asked Goodman what she really thinks about influencer culture, and how New Mexico was integral to the success of the film.
